I couldn't decide what lighting showed the color best so I included them both.  The top shows it's more purple side and the bottom the more blue side.

I LOVE the color.  It's so unique and different.  However, it started chipping the next day.  Anyone have any good suggestions for a top coat?  Or a base?  What works better? #NailPolishNovice

(Sorry for the use of the hashtag, I'm just getting the hang of them...even though they usually just belong on twitter)

Nails & Swap!!!

So I actually had my nails painted like this last week but I didn't post about it.  This week my nails are breathing and naked!  *gasp*  But I will have time over the weekend to add some color!

*notes:  I realize they look a bit messy.  I learned my lesson that you should not do your nails after drinking wine.  I did end cleaning them up a bit and the next day they were so much cuter!*

Ok, so now I was wondering if any of you lovely people would like to swap buttons.  I have 2 requirements:  No money involved and your button should be around the same size as mine.  (I have a variety of sizes).  Just to make it fair. I already have four ladies I am going to swap buttons with and want to know if there is anyone else out there!  Well have a great weekend lovies.  I will have a mini-post tomorrow...for a special someone.  :)

Weekend Nails & Plans

Hey hey hey!!! (I'm running out of ways to say hello on here).  Today I am very excited.  And sad.

Sad...I have to leave my son for 2 nights...lame I know.  Because I always think it would be nice to have a break but then the time comes and I fall apart.  But I know I will have fun.  I am going to a MLB Milwaukee Brewers game with my favorite girl.  Plus, I get to have PF Changs, Dunkin Donuts, and Popeyes. All of which I do not have around me.  I am preparing to gain 5 pounds...but it will be sooooo worth it.

* Nails & The Weekend *

So...i love the colors.  (was just going to do an accent nail with the sparkle but it was a little boring).  Anyways as you can tell by my bang-up paint job I am awesome at applying nail polish. (sarcasm) Actually I still consider myself a newbie, and if you saw my left hand you would think i asked my almost 2 year old to apply it.  It's sad.  Really sad.   

So real quick, do you any of you have any tips for taking pictures of your nails?  My camera I guess sucks.  It is either unfocused or blinding.  I finally got some 'eh' pics in the bathroom.  

Well I'm off for the weekend (because I haven't been slacking enough around here) and hope you all have a super-duper-great-fantastic weekend.  And  a great St. Patrick's day. (because I am proudly Irish)  I think my husband and I will actually go out for dinner...the last time we went out for St. Patrick's day, I was pregnant but still offered green beer and saw a college student throw up said beer on a bar floor.  (yes I was in a bar while pregnant).   Ok....that's enough.

Nail Files on a Friday

So a few weeks ago I won a giveaway for $25 to Amazon from Taylor's blog.  After thinking about what to get for hours upon hours (or 20 minutes) I decided - Nail Polish!  I maybe owned 5 nail polishes.  2 of them were bought for a Euro each in Germany, and one I stole borrowed from my sister.  The others were bought after I started blogging.  (oh the nail polish peer pressure!)  Actually now I am just addicted.

Then I just randomly searched and found some good deals.  The Serena Williams pack was around $7.50 for 2 full sized polishes.  These are the other ones I bought on Amazon.
