Books Ruin Blogging

At least for me.

I have been trying to hard to start blogging regularly but then I get into a book and nothing else matters.  Except for Mason (because I have to say that).  I recently discovered Jodi Picoult thanks to Katie, and she let me borrow a bunch of her books.  I just read The Pact and
Nineteen Minutes in about two days.  I would definitely recommend both.

I try to stop, but I can't put the book down if I'm really into it.  I actually stay up till like 3 am if I need to.  No bueno.

I also borrowed "One for the Money" by Jackie Evancho.  However I don't want to start until I get through all the other books on my reading list, because I know it is a long series and like to stay in order.  I have seen the movie though.

Other immediate books on my list are  "Revolutionary Road", "Atonement", "Water For Elephants", & "The Help".

Ok.  Just noticed they are also all movies too.  But I haven't seen any of them.

Have you seen any of these movies or read any of these books?  If one is exceptionally lame or a bad movie let me know so I don't waste my time!

Too many books to read, so little time.   Unless I run away and live in a hut and just read.
But then I would miss my son.  And the Internet.  And good food.  And wine.  Oh, and I suppose my husband.  Ugh.  Guess I'll just stay here.

How horrible.

- - - Tell me your thoughts please!!! - - - I will send you super good thoughts.  And you can be my friend.  Because let me tell ya...that is worth A LOT.  ;)

I read both Nineteen Minutes and The Pact but I had to stop before the end because they were so emotionally draining for me--she does such an amazing job getting you invested in the characters!!

I LOVE Jodi Picoult but I agree with Holly, her books wear me out. They are amazing, but I have to read something light in between her books. House Rules is one of my favorites by her and she has a new one out that, as soon as it's cheaper on my kindle, I'm downloading it. Haven't read a book by her in forever. The only one I didn't like and had to force myself to finish was Sing You Home (but a lot of people LOVED it).

I haven't read any of them or watched the movies so I'm absolutely no help. I guess I just want you to know how useless to you I am ;-)

I am on a Jodi Picoult kick right now too! I'm currently reading Nineteen Minutes. I just finished Plain Truth and Change of Heart. They were both really really good!
I read Water for Elephants a little bit ago and loved it. I watched the movie after and liked it as well. Not as good as the book of course, but still worth watching. Happy reading!

The Pact is one of her best books I think. (It was a lifetime movie also with Karen from Will & Grace, lol) Happy reading!!

I'm a huge Jodi Picoult fan. I've read most of her books, including her newest! I pretty much wait for her new books to come out and then I read them as soon as I can. Stalker!

I saw and read The Help... and LOVED both! (Of course I thought the book was better though.) I have seen Water for Elephants, and have the book, but haven't read it yet. I just don't have the motivation being that I already saw the movie, and there are other books that I want to read! I agree- not enough time for all the reading I want to do!

I totally LOVE Jodi Picoult and have read almost every single one of her books! They're one of the few books that I read as close to the publish date as I can!

I also loved Water for Elephants! I try to make time to read at least a few hours a week. Some weeks go better than others.
