So Many Clothes

So it was a good weekend for Packer fans.   They beat the Lions at home continuing a big record of winning against them at Lambeau.

Now they are 2-2.   Not exactly the perfect standings but hopefully we continue to win....hopefully.

In other football news, my Fantasy team.   I can't do anything right.

My first pick this year was Tom Brady.   Score, right?  No.  He's been letting me down week after week.  Yesterday he didn't throw any touchdowns (breaking his streak)   and threw an interception.   Personally I don't like him but I can't deny he's good....usually.

Also Anquan Boldin.   I put him on the bench, he puts up like 25 fantasy points.   When I play him?   One week he got me 2 and this week less than 10.   So it's safe to say, I'm not doing so hot.

Today I wanted to share some Packers gear.    I posted this last year for Wildcard weekend (post here) from Polyvore.

These are some of the things on my wish list this year.
(Click picture for link)

I love me some hoodies.

I love all things comfortable.

And just something that blows my mind.  I mean, I usually love all things Packer/football but come on.  A toaster?   For 40 bucks!   I think I will save the $40 and eat my toast without a G on it thank you very much!

Well have a good one lovies.   Linking up with the fab Kristine today!

The Best Season Has Begun. ...

0-1.

It's only the first game.

The refs suck.

It's only the first game.

Ok.   I'm done.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyways.    If you haven't been around here for awhile...I love football especially the Green Bay Packers.  See here and here.

Kristine had this little link-up for today and since I love football like her - but not the Seahawks ...sorry Kristine - I love you :)  I thought I would do the same.

Also Leeann has this great link-up for Mondays that I thought I would participate in....Even though she is a Saints fan...(not as bad a Vikings fan.)

I think all I really want to do is talk about the Packers vs San Francisco 49ers game.

We (the Packers of course) were so close.   We played like crap (not going to lie) and we have no running game but we made this game as close as it could be.    I hope next time to be more interesting about the Packers in this link-up, but I love moping and wallowing in my sadness.

Also...Clay Matthews did do some good damage.  He may have girly hair but he's got the arms of a manly man :)

I know it's not Christmas but I like it.

So until then...Go Pack Go...Beat the Bengals next next week and the Redskins next week (oops) and let's pretend this didn't happen.

That is my sad, sad gossip for the Monday morning but my support for the Pack.  Please don't let me down this year.

Let me educate you ...

Day Two - Everyday in May

Today's prompt was :Educate us on something you know a lot about or are good at. Take any approach you'd like (serious and educational or funny and sarcastic)

-------------------------------

Well I could educate you on Art History, but I'm not going to lie, I doubt a majority of you want to read it.  I could be wrong though.

So something else I could educate you on that I am good at?   I suppose I could educate you on football.

I have impressed many people on my ability to talk and hold a conversation about football.

Whether it be players, even if they don't play for my team, positions, what offsides/false start is, what pass interference is, overtime rules, etc.

Now I'm not saying I am the only girl can do this...I know I'm not.  I actually find is a bit annoying when people are shocked by how much I know.  It's just a bit sexist.

Since there is no way I could write a short post about the game of football, I will educate you on my team.

  The Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay is the third-oldest franchise in the NFL and have been playing since 1919. The Packers are the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team in the United States.  That means, there is no Jerry Jones.  Regular people actually own the team.

The Green Bay Packers have won 13 league championships, more than any other team in the NFL.

That includes 9 NFL championships (before there was a Super Bowl), the first two Super bowls ever played, and then the Super bowls of 1996 and 2010 seasons.

Our biggest rivals are the Chicago Bears & Minnesota Vikings.    The rivalry between the Bears and Packers is one of the oldest in NFL history, going back to 1921.

I'm sure you have heard about the Lombardi trophy?  The one you get when you win the Super Bowl.   It is named after the legendary Packers coach Vince Lombardi.  He is one of the most famous coaches in the world and has provided many inspirational quotes.

We have also had some pretty great QB's.  Bart Starr, Brett Favre (who played for the Packers for 16 years - don't get me started on what happened afterwards).

And our current QB, Aaron Rodgers.   One of the best Quarterback in the NFL right now.

The Packers also have one of the one of the best stadiums.

There are also some famous fans - Justin Timberlake & Will Ferrell have been spotted at games and Lil Wayne raps about them.

All in all it's a hometown team.   A team owned by their fans.  In my opinion the best team ever.

* I love all football so if the Packers aren't your team, I'm not criticizing you...unless you are a Vikings or Bears fan.  That's just not acceptable. *

Wildcard Weekend

This Saturday the NFL wildcard playoff weekend begins.  The Green Bay Packers meet the Minnesota Vikings for the third time this year.   (technically last year/this year blah blah blah).

Nervous?  Um yeah.  I HATE losing to the Vikings.  I really really really do.  So hopefully the home field advantage will be just that, an advantage.  PLEASE!!!

Oh and for the very first time I used polyvore.   I actually wanted to do this post (with the Packer gear) in September when football started, but yeah,  huge procrastinator!
