Law & Order Game and Some Other Good Stuff!

Hello all!!! Good news!!! I fixed my buttons!  So if you want to swap with me let me know!  If not, that's ok...but you should check out the one's I do have! 

So this what I have been up to:

My husband and I have always loved Law & Order: SVU and now that it is on Netflix we have started from Season 1 Episode 1.  And we have a game.  If you watch, you know that Stabler & Benson are the main characters.  Stabler gets in trouble a lot, and in trying to keep the show interesting the characters occasionally get hurt or shot.  So we are tallying up all the times they were hurt or got in trouble up until the final episode on Netflix.  Nerds.

Yesterday my husband granted me a few hours of freedom.  (Does that sound bad?) I went to Starbucks and got caught up on some blog stuff.  Plus, I had this awesome drink!  The Berry Refresher.  It's really good!  I would totally recommend it.

And most importantly, the awesome Kodie gave me a blog award!  Thanks girl!  She's from Wisconsin like me and and a huge Packer fan like me.  Lucky girl gets to live next to Lambeau Field soon!

7 Facts About Me

1. I don't like even numbers except the numbers 4 & 12 & 80 (strictly sports numbers).

2.  I changed my major 7 times in College.  (I am very indecisive)

3. I went to a fair that cost $3 to get in and then we got a free concert.  The concert?  N*SYNC when they were first starting out.  They were pretty good.

4. One of my family members has at least 1 birthday in 10 out of the 12 months.  We need August & October! :)

5. My middle name Lynn is also my dad's middle name.

6. My dream was to grow up and be a veterinarian.

7. As most of you know I studied German but when I was a Freshman in college the school only had Spanish.  I took it and got a B+ but I always got the numbers mixed up and would say Ja instead of Si.

Today I am sharing with you two things (lucky you)...I got an awesome award from the lovely Sarah.  And then to go with the Sunshine Award I have some "Sun" Pins to share.  Another post coming later today - because I need help.  :)

Favorite color? Yellow 

Favorite number? 3 or 33 (33 was my number is soccer)

Favorite non-alcoholic drink? Is there such a thing?  I would have to say Water.  Just because I can drink it with anything.

Facebook or twitter? I love Facebook for keeping up with actual friends but twitter is awesome.  It's like texting friends all over the internet.

My passion? Art.  I love making it (even though I'm not that good) and I love the history of it.

Favorite animal? Dogs, hands down.

Getting or giving presents? Who doesn't love getting presents?  But I love picking something special for someone and having them open it.

Favorite pattern? Um, houndstooth?  weird question.

Favorite flower: Lilacs.  The smell brings me back to my childhood in the summer and it is just a great smell.

Also, as I have mentioned before I was given 'The Cute Blog Award' seen here. Well there are a few things that come along with getting this award.  I need to answer the questions.

What is your go to makeup brand?

I mostly use CoverGirl or Clinque.

What was your favorite fashion trend of 2011?

Yeah...I'm really bad at fashion.  But I love wearing my boots with my new (can't-belive-i-own-them skinny jeans)

What is your favorite dessert?

I'm not a big dessert person.  (I love my carbs)  but I will almost never turn down a brownie.

What is your favorite color?

Yellow, brown, gray.  My all time fave colors.

What is your middle name?

Lynn.  My dad's middle name is Lynn as well.  I know some people think that is weird but I like it.  

The last song you listened too?

Not too sure.  My huband had on the 90's Pandora channel. But now I am watching the Oscars so whatever song is playing in the background.

Dogs or Cats?

Dogs. For sure.  I've got my doggies (and Mason's best friends)  Bailey & Ally.

And finally. I saw this on another blog recently and thought, this can't be true!  But while grocery shopping this past weekend, I found them.  The birthday cake oreos.  They smell delicious, and the only person in my house who has had them so far is Mason and he devoured them.  Today, I will be eating them... hopefully I will only eat 2, but we all know that won't happen.  

A Birthday Party . . .

Hi Lovies.  Sorry for my lack of posts.  But this past weekend we traveled 3 hours to go to my niece's 1st Birthday Party and I am still exhuasted.  First of all, Mason does OK in the car but once we get to new places (especially if they aren't baby proof) we are constantly running around after him with no time to sit down.  Plus he hates sleeping in strange places.  So that means staying up late and sleeping in bed with us.So that was going on alllllll weekend.  

Then when visiting my sister, we love to stay up and talk. So we would get to bed at like 1am then wake up at 8.  I don't regret that but still makes for one tired me...even come Tuesday.  So today's post is from this past weekend.  Then the rest of the week?  Linking up for the first time with a popular link-up and announcing my first giveaway.  Like I said before, it's called the "Giveaway of Choices"...and soon you will find out why.  

Mason loves cats...we don't have one of our own so when he sees one at someone elses house he goes crazy and says "kitty, kitty, kitty".   Then he did a lot of playing with his cousin Juliana (the birthday girl).  

Juliana's actual birthday is this Wednesday but we still celebrated this weekend.  She loved her cake....and got a picture with her mom (my sister) and her dad.

My sister has a huge jaccuzi tub that Mason would stare and point at constantly...so finally Saturday night we let him get in there.  He loved it and cried like crazy when we took him out.

Also , I recieved this award from my BCF Katie.  I was really excited about this award because I have never gotten this one before. :)  I will do the "rules" of the award soon!

Awkward (plus a late Award)

So a long long time ago (or early December), Kaycie from here, posted an Awkward Quiz thingy.  So I took the liberty of copying her (and she got this from someone else).  I thought this one was really fun.


1. What's a nickname only your family calls you?
Well my parents call me 'Toots' or 'Tootsie' and my oldest sister for some reason calls me "Bananakins" or "Bananers".  They are all very embarrassing and I can't believe I shared them.


2. What's a weird habit of yours? 
I have so many...I have OCD so I am always doing something strange.  (story for another day)


3. What's a song you secretly LOVE to blast & belt out when you're alone?
Any Britney Spears song.  They are just hard not to dance and sing to!


4. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
People who don't hold the door for you when you walk in after them.  They are jerks.


5. What's one of your nervous habits?
I shake my leg (I do that all the time but it gets worse when I'm nervous) and  I sweat.  Gross.


6. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
Ever since Mason was born I sleep on the side closest to the door, but before he came along and whenever we travel I make Guss sleep on the outside.  In case someone comes in :)


7. What was your first stuffed animal & it's name?
A teddy bear that I got when I was 2.  My parents said I went straight to it and I still own it.  Now Mason plays/snuggles with it.  Oh and his name is Theodore.  (Teddy for short)


8. What's the drink you ALWAYS order at Starbucks?
The majority drink is a Non-Fat Caramel Macchiato extra Hot.


9. What's the beauty rule you preach.. but never ACTUALLY practice?
Always wash your face before bed.  I really need to do this...but I am so tired by the end of the night I don't.  I need to save my skin!


10. Which way do you face in the shower?
If I am standing - with my back to the water.  But I am a total weirdo and sit down often in the shower.  I know it's weird but I don't really like baths and showers are when I relax.  So i sit. :)


11. Do you have any 'weird' body 'skills'?
Um no.  haha


12. What's your favorite 'comfort food'/food that's 'bad' but you love to eat it anyways?
French Fries and Pasta...so bad.


13. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say? 
'Good Lord' (and roll my eyes), and 'Seriously?'...i tend to say that when Mason has done something bad.


14. Time to sleep - what are you wearing?
Truthfully?  Nothing...I can't stand wearing anything while I sleep.  Only time I do is when we have guests.  Of course I know eventually, I will have to start wearing something as Mason (and future children) get older.

First things first...I have reached 100+ followers and I can't believe it.  If you were to ask Guss how excited I was about this he would tell you I was very crazy!  Just a shout out to #102 and #105 (you know who you are!) *BOBBY B.!  BOBBY BOBBY!*  I apologize to you who don't understand that.

So this past month I have been privileged to have received 3 awards!  I received the "Tell Me About Yourself Award" from {K} at Our Little Corner, and the "Liebster Award" from Trish at Everyday Trish & Maggie from Glitz & Grammar.  I feel so special and loved! Blog Award!

I got my very first blog award!  It was the iDig Your Blog Award and I got it from my friend Kasey!

I am a new blogger and I do happen to know Kasey from High School (so that helped) but I am glad to get some type of recognition...

(1) I have met/seen some famous people (which I plan to blog about in the future)...I went to a taping of "The Jay Leno Show" and "That 70's Show" where we got to meet and get autographs from all the stars.  Plus I have met Benji Madden (from Good Charlotte), Jim Gaffigan (we were going to see his show and he was buying coffee), Lee Greenwood ("God Bless The USA" singer), and some others...

(2) My first job lasted for 7 years as a employee (then manager) at McDonald's...then was a lifeguard for 3 years then worked at a Pet Store for 5 years...I always have never had a job that has lasted for less than 3 years.

(3)  My entire family (mine and my husband's) went from 5 nieces/nephews to 10 in a year.  My 2 sisters had kids, then another had twins, and then I had my son.  (Now I have twins on my side, my dad's side, my husband's side (times 2)...I am afraid I may be next *ahhhhh*
