He's Going To Make Me Rich One Day

Well hello.  

It's been awhile, no?

Here's an excuse reason.   

The last 2 summers Mason & I have barely appreciated the weather.  The first year he was a baby so he didn't really do much, his second summer I babysat a baby...same thing.  so this summer...we are doing stuff.  We have gone to the beach, park, fishing, etc.   Having literally 6 months of winter here in Wisconsin, we need to get out the house.   Especially for my sanity.

So a few things -

* Today was the day my mom was supposed to have me.   However I came 10 days late.  

So what's funny is today is actually my first niece's 14th birthday.   I was 14 when she was born and she was born my due date.   

* After this week, I am jammed packed with things to do.  Guss takes his vacation around the same week every year.  It will be our 7 year anniversary and my birthday.  Plus it's my BFF's birthday (same day as our anniversary) and we spend most of our time relaxing, eating horrible things and day drinking (and hoping no one takes our kid away)  :)  

* Speaking of our child, he is practically/officially potty trained.   He still wears a diaper at night because he is still in a crib.   Where I am going to keep him until he finally figures out how to escape...or learn to drive.   Whatever comes first.

Below is pictures of Mason's  T-ball skills.   We hope to move on to baseball and hopefully someday make his parents lots and lots and lots of money.   No pressure.

P.S.  I babysat a 3 year old (my son), a 2 year old, and a 1 year old for 3 days.   Really makes you think twice about having more than one child.  No lie.

So it's Monday . . .

I don't know if you would classify my weekend as having gossip but whatevs...I'm still linking up with Leann.

As you know I was sick and I'm finally feeling like I can eat food again.  

Last weekend my sister was at my house while we went out for a cousin's weekend, and then she was back this weekend to see some old friends.  Saturday at one point there was 5 kids at my house.  The oldest was Mason...not even 3.  

It was crazy.   

Don't worry...for watching my cousin's kids there was beer.  And all the adults were equipped with one.

The next few weeks are going to be crazy.  Mason will get a haircut, get his 3 year pictures taken, celebrate his birthday, go to an eye appointment and my husband has vacation.

Of course some of these things are good, but also make for a really busy next three weeks.  

Oh...I am nominating myself for mom of the year because I am actually getting Mason's pictures done around his 3rd birthday.  We will forgo the fact his 2 year pictures were taken when he was 2 1/2.  

Some quick points:

Last weekend I got my third tattoo....post to come this week.

And if you haven't noticed I have a new blog look.  I was iffy at first.  I loved it but my husband and some other people didn't seem to like it at all.  So in my true form, I freaked out and stressed.  Then I realized, it's a blog design.   And if I love it...who cares.  If someone doesn't want to read my shit stuff because of how my blog looks, then OK.  I'll live.

There's just too much gossip

It's Monday...again.   So here I am, linking up with Leeann.

I'm exhausted.  Since last Wednesday night until yesterday, I was at my parents.    I love visiting them, but with Mason...help me.

Their home is not toddler proofed, so he is constantly getting in to something.  And he no longer sleeps in a Pack & Play so he sleeps in the bed with me.

First night, he was up about 7 times crying.  2nd, he had horrible night terrors.  3rd night, he did good but we had to get up early to travel 2 hours to a birthday party.  And it goes on.  And I'm tired...and about to start my IV drip of coffee.  

So this is my gripping weekend gossip.

* Celebrated my niece, Juliana's, 2nd birthday.

* And saw her, too cute for words, sister Madeleine 

* I played "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader" with the Royals :)

* File this under things I just don't understand. Parents who are bundled up and their children in a t-shirt. (courtesy of US Weekly)

* Figured out why people who have cats take tons of pictures of them.  They do the cutest things.  This is Jack.  And he is sick of my picture taking.

- Ugh, I have a feeling I am going to be exhausted for awhile.  And that's not good because I have one week to lose 1.2 lbs for my dietbet.   Which means working out.   I'm just hoping the energy fairy (there is one right?) will rain her magic dust/protein powder upon me. -    

A little Monday morning gossip.

So here is the run down of the last few days in Mirandaland.  (it's a real place ya'll)

* We tackled our basement.  When we started it looked like an episode of hoarders.  Minus the dead cats.

Not our house.  That would be disgusting.

* We made a snowman.   Mason named him Hat.   Everyday Mason gets up and waves hi to Hat.

* Tomorrow my husband gets his yearly bonus.  Besides paying some people back, paying some bills, and taking the dogs to vet, you better believe I already have items in my online carts for Target & Old Navy.  And we are going to lunch at Chipotle!  

* Finally watched "Pitch Perfect" for the first time.  It was pretty good.  And I'm watching "Magic Mike" after 'The Bachelor  tonight.  I heard it doesn't have the best story line but I gotta see what all the hype is about.

* We only have 6 episodes left in Season 4 of 'Breaking Bad'.   I'm still obsessed.   With the show...and Aaron Paul.

Well it turns out my weekend wasn't terribly exciting.  But that is no problem.
