Hello Friends!!!  How ya doing?

Me?  Ok.  Well pretty good now.  I realize (or you may have) that I haven't been around much.  Sorry 'bout that.  But I'm sooo back.  

Anyways:  How was your weekend?  Mine actually was great.  It was the first full weekend Guss has had off where no one was sick, and we didn't go anywhere.  And the weather was beautiful.  My mother-in-law came up and we went to Kohl's - where you know you can get some awesome deals.  (see below for what I bought!) Other things I bought that aren't pictured:  Summer PJ's for the Mason man and all of his b-day gifts (I may be a bit freaked out i will have a 2 year old in a few short weeks)  

Other awesome things about this weekend:  I finally updated my iPad so I have all the cool new features and Guss & I are in deep discussions of me getting an iPhone.  I miss having a phone with Internet.  

On to the goods...

PJ's for Mason

Wanted some cheap decor and it smells like summer.

 I gave in and I bought "The Hunger Games".  But I've heard some great things about it, so I'll give it a try.  I have like 10 books I need to read before this one though.  

And finally we bought this little thingy.  I don't know the name of it but I do know that we can get the Internet on our TV.  Most importantly Netflix.  So now we don't have to watch "How I Met Your Mother" (or Mason's newest show "Barney" ugh) on a laptop/ipad screen.  Now we can enjoy it on our 46 incher!!! What, What???!!!

* Nails & The Weekend *

This week I tried these colors:

Essie "Bobbing for Baubles"

OPI "Servin' Up Sparkle"

So...i love the colors.  (was just going to do an accent nail with the sparkle but it was a little boring).  Anyways as you can tell by my bang-up paint job I am awesome at applying nail polish. (sarcasm) Actually I still consider myself a newbie, and if you saw my left hand you would think i asked my almost 2 year old to apply it.  It's sad.  Really sad.   

So real quick, do you any of you have any tips for taking pictures of your nails?  My camera I guess sucks.  It is either unfocused or blinding.  I finally got some 'eh' pics in the bathroom.  

Well I'm off for the weekend (because I haven't been slacking enough around here) and hope you all have a super-duper-great-fantastic weekend.  And  a great St. Patrick's day. (because I am proudly Irish)  I think my husband and I will actually go out for dinner...the last time we went out for St. Patrick's day, I was pregnant but still offered green beer and saw a college student throw up said beer on a bar floor.  (yes I was in a bar while pregnant).   Ok....that's enough.

And post on March 14th (3/14).  Well my partner was Carly.  I love this girl.  We actually have been playing Words With Friends together.  She told me a story last night,  that while chatting with me on WWF, her boyfriend thought she was talking to Miranda Lambert.  And he didn't understand why she was living in Wisconsin.  Haha.  Anyways, she did an awesome job!

Broom * Warm * Food

Weird title right?   I couldn't come up with anything more clever.  

Anyways....there was this thing all around facebook about Brooms standing straight up because of some Solar Storm.  At first it didn't work, bu then it did...and it really freaked the husband out.  I thought it was pretty cool.

Like I mentioned before, we have had some nice weather.  Mason has loved playing outside with sticks and a basketball and soccer ball.  

He looks like an evil stick hoarder...I promise he isn't :)

Ahhh, fresh air.

And these past few weeks I tried some new recipes.  Here are two of them.

My Notes:  I have a weird aversion to bread crumbs so i didn't use them...and I didn't have Parmesan so I only used cheddar cheese.

My Notes:  I only used a teaspoon crushed red pepper and it was still too hot for my husband.  If you like spicy, then I would go with that...if you don't...I wouldn't even try it.

And finally, I don't think everyone will agree but  I am loving Jessica Simpson being pregnant.  I felt gigantic while pregnant, and it seems like all celebs are super cute and tiny while with child.  They were not gigantic (except Kate Hudson the first time around and Jennifer Garner).  But that is what I love.  That they looked just like me when I was pregnant.  Large and in charge. :)  I just hate all the criticism J. Simpson is getting. 

 Your body changes when you are pregnant...you  have no control...  Anways...I'm done.  Have a great Tueday!  Catch you on the flip side!

Movie Weekend

Hello!  Hope your weekend is going good.  Mine is not too shabby.  The weather is warm (63 degrees!!!), so I actually took Mason outside to play...of course it is  still a bit muddy and he likes to pretend to fall down so, it got a little messy. But still so much better than sitting around the house.  

Well my husband is at work today, and I figured I kind of wanted a lazy weekend so I rented 4 movies I have been wanting to see.

These two I watched last night.

I really had high hopes for this one.  I think when I know it (or some of the actors) are Oscar nominated, I have high expectations.  I don't think this one was that great.  It wasn't boring...just not that good.  

I also had heard so many good things about this movie.  Again, it was eh.  I thought the 2nd half of the movie was the best and of course I cried.  

Tonight I will be watching these (along with Saturday Night Live)

My husband heard it sucks, I heard it was really good.  Guess we will see.  I'm really excited to watch it though.

I'm super excited about this because I am a sucker for tragic love stories.  So I hope this is a good one.


So, have you seen any of these movies?  do you disagree with my opinions of the first two?  (*note* these opinions are coming from a girl who thinks "Tommy Boy" is one of the best movies ever made")


After those hard days I had, I am starting to feel a lot better.  Lighter, even.  (unfortunately not physically)  But I'm looking forward to tomorrow and then a brand new week.   Love Lovies!
