Things I Loved In January

Happy Groundhogs Day!  Today I am featuring a few things...What I loved in January, a one day upcoming Link-Up, and a preview of some things that will be coming on this little 'ol blog of mine.

First off - What I Loved
1. Friends with Words - my best friend and cousin Katie (psst- she just started a blog) got me hooked.  Now I can't stop playing.  (I also play with a few of my fave bloggy people Alana Christine and Kasey)
When playing Kasey I was given 6 I's...yes SIX of them.  Now what the H am I supposed to spell with that?!
My best word to date.  70 points baby!  (My husband wasn't too pleased that it was against him)
2. Flipboard - if you have an iphone or ipad i would highly recommend this app.  You can connect your Facebook, Twitter, Google Reader, People Magazine, ESPN, etc...to it and find it all in one app.  Plus it is really easy to read blog posts on it.
3. Essie - I bought my first bottle of Essie nail polish recently and this is the color I got.  I am obsessed with grey and dark colors on my nails.  I don't even know if I could pull off really feminine colors like bright red & pink on my nails.  I also did an accent color.  (I was going to post pictures of my nails but i did a horrendous job and then i had no good lighting...so i leave you with pictures via google.com)
Over The Edge
Black Lace (Accent Nail)
4. Buffalo Chicken Dip - I made this the fateful day the Packers lost but it is soooo good.  I have seen the recipe around the web but I grabbed mine from Holly here.  My notes - It is good with Tortilla chips but I thought it tasted the best with celery.  I definitely will be making this again!
5. Making myself seem...hmmm like an alcoholic/bad person - although neither is true...the statement i said below (while posting on a friends status) is...
In other news:

What's on your fridge? I am hosting a strange but fun linkup Friday February 17th.  It's not what's in your fridge but on your fridge.  Whenever I go to people's houses I am always looking at their fridge...whether it be pictures, art work from kids, calendars, etc.  So if you are interested, grab a button and link up on the 17th! :)

Also here is what to expect in several posts in the months to come:

March - Germany (adventures/trips)
April - Mason (pregnancy/birth)
May - High School (sports/graduation)
July - Wedding (bachelorette party/day of wedding)

The whole months won't be dedicated to it, but 1 or 2 posts a week.  Since it is my first year blogging I thought it would be a better way to get to know me.

Have a great day lovies!

Looking forward to the link-up on the 17th! You should play Scramble with Friends. It's by the same owner of Words with Friends but it's like Boggle. My username is stannx3 :)
