Introducing Bailey & Ally

I realize after these few months of blogging I have never formally introduced my doggies.  We have 2 Golden Retrievers.  Growing up we only had 2 dogs and they were shelties.  They aren't bad dogs but I always wanted that family favorite Golden Retriever.  I just love big dogs.  Well I didn't want to buy from an exclusive breeder or a pet store (puppy mill dogs :(  ) but finally in the paper I found Golden Retriever puppies for only $125.  Usually pure breeds are up to $500 but these ones didn't have papers.  I didn't care because I wouldn't be breeding or showing the dog.

Bailey Eldon -  May 31, 2004
When I went to go pick him up there was only 2 males left and for some reason that's what I wanted.  His brother bit my nose but Bailey was licking me like crazy.  He was the one.
Loves: Squirrel chasing, food, being territorial
Hates: Cuddling

Ally Tuesday - May 8, 2007
After I got back from studying abroad in Germany I really wanted another dog.  So I looked again and found a farm where the price for a female would be $150.  Turns out it was the same farm and it would be the same dad as Bailey!  So they are truly brother and sister.
Loves: Cuddling, Sleeping in strange positions
Hates: Not getting attention

Bailey loves attention but hates cuddling, even when he was a puppy he wouldn't sleep on the bed with me.  When Ally came along he was not impressed (see first picture below) but then he got used to cuddling...but only with his sister.  He doesn't like us or Mason cuddling with him but Ally will just lay there and let Mason climb all over her.

Love the pictures of them together below.  Christmas, Snuggling, and Ally draping her leg over Bailey

Not going to lie, after having a child they have become more annoying (especially with the hair and dirt/mud/leaves they bring in)  but I still wouldn't trade them for anything.  They are my first-born babies :)

Aww! I love them. I cracked up at the first picture of Bailey and Ally. You can just tell he's like "what the hell is up with this?" haha. And then the ones of them together made me tear up. I just love dogs. They're awesome. :-)

Oh holy macaroni, my heart just burst with happiness! Hubs has started to attempt to ban me from looking at puppies on pinterest. I just can't help it I love me some doggies! Yours are no exception.

My parents have always had Golden Retrievers! Their current dog, Gracie, is so great with Wylie except that she sheds so much and he's always covered in hair by the end of the day. Your dogs are so cute :)

Someday I'd love to have a dog, but I'm waiting until we're done having kids and they're older

I love Bailey and Ally! They really are good dogs and have big hearts. Ally is such a people person...she thinks she is like 5lbs and can sit on people's laps! lol. She is really good around Mason (so is Bailey) And I love Bailey's color! =] -BCF
